My winter car will be a Plymouth Champ. I figure by the time I find one to buy, I will have enough money for another car. The only rule is need to be for sale in north america. Mexico ok.

Because race car?

Why would you winter drive and consequently destroy a rare (but value-less) car? Just seems like wanton destruction to me. Find some other forgettable car to dissolve.

My very first car...the Champster. It was silver, and towards the end, it burned enough oil/coolant to create a huge toxic cloud every time I pulled away from a stop light. I haven’t seen one on the roads in over a decade.

We got these as Mitsubishi Colts. A bit less bumpers and side markers but otherwise very similar. My friend even had one in the same exact color. He didn’t treat the poor Colt very well.
There’s one very interesting option that was offered for these (with 1.4l engines). You could get a transmission with a separate range shifter. Some have survived and I have still seen some for sale recently in Finland.

Fifth gen champ/colt didn’t have the 8-speed, and AWD was only availabe in the Vista wagon.

That was my first car. 1980 with a 3 speed auto, black with orange stripes. Fun to drive but not fast. When it came to grades, couldn’t keep speed. I still have the emblems that I saved after an Olds 88 driver accelerated through my driver’s door because my car was completely invisible. At 2PM on a clear summer day moving at 5MPH in a parking lot.

i’m not dissing you, cause I will spit out useless information on many things too.
Like the Suzuki SX4 example, the gas tank on the AWD held 5 liters less gas to allow room for the drive shaft. Pissed me off cause the AWD was harder on gas and the tank was so fucken small.............
and many 80-90s cars but those i’m starting to forget some....

I have a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very
long time dealing with unusual cars. Skills that make me a nightmare for people who think they can casually drop information about the Mitsubishi Colt/Champs of the late 70s-early 80s.

I do what I want Clayton. It won’t dissolve in Alberta, except on the Henday they don’t use salt.

I mean, that would be cool, but no, I do not require twin stick.

I demand 4th gen. Do not need twin stick. It’s a slow race.

10 internets to you. Pick 2 cars (each worth 5 internets) and I will make a post with those care in picture tribute to your glorious internet skills.

Well Finland is a bit far for me (Alberta here) but yes the twin stick is a fun thing.

I am only accpeting ads posted in the last year I think. I think this reduces my bill to 20 internets. Pick 4 cars and I will make a post proclaiming your greatness using those cars pictures as eye candy.

I have a driving 1981 Colt, twin stick with 66,000 miles. It needs new seat covers but is very solid with very little rust. I also have an ‘81 parts car. that has a running engine, air conditioning and is also a twin stick. Both are in Kalamazoo Michigan. Call to discuss. Tom 269-580-4890 cell

Thank you. I ended up buying a 1992 Ford Tempo with the Vulcan V6. I live in Edmonton Alberta and I’m pretty sure my wife will kill me if I book some trip to Michigan before I book our honeymoon, hahaha.
